I have one of these to use in the front yard where there are concrete paths. I roll it along as I pull weeds or do other chores in the garden. The fact that there is a rather clumsy storage area doesn't bother me too much, because the advantage is, you can pick up this stool and toss it around easily. You wouldn't be able to do that if the top opened. There's room for snacks, drinks, sunglasses, gardening gloves, a trowel, etc. I also have one that does open and acts as a pull-cart. That one does get more use as I pile bags of mulch on it and drag it around the yard. Both have their purpose. The Hopper Mobile Garden Stool is solid. I'm glad I have it. EDITED to say that I've thought of two more uses for it. 1. You could toss it in the trunk of your car and easily take it with you to use as a chair. 2. Convince the children that it's a self-propelled 'car' and let them get some exercise. :)

This is everything it was advertised to be and just what I needed. We have very large flower beds and the large wheels roll quite easily over the mulch. Haven't tried it on the cement driveway borders but I'm sure it will just as efficient. My knees and back thank you for producing an item that will be durable and light-weight. The storage area is really not a storage area but that is what they make sheds for - storage!!

I HAD KNEE SURGERY AND THIS HELPED ME TO BE ABLE TO ENJOY MY GARDEN. IT'S VERY LIGHT AND I JUST LOVE THE SPACE TO PLACE A BOTTLE OF WATER AS WELL AS A SPOT TO PLACE MY GARDEN CLIPPERS UNDER THE SEAT.

I just bought one of these hoppers, and I love it, EXCEPT, I feel the photos are deceptive, so I thought I'd write a review so others would be aware of what they were actually getting. On the box itself, even, it shows the wheels as if they are plastic "balloon tires." They are hollow, of course, but they are totally open on the inside (they only look like wheels from the outside); they are a shell only with one side sliced open. That means gunk gets caught in them and has to be cleaned out. I may see if I can find replacement wheels that are actually wheels; with that change, I'd be 100% happy.

I love my Garden Hopper. It's the right height and makes gardening so much more enjoyable. I love being able to put my hand gardening tools in the storage space. The only thing keeeping it from getting 5 stars from me is somehow water gets into the bottom part. I see no opening, but it happens. If there was a hole for drainage it wouldn't be a big deal, but the water gets in and I can't get it out, although turning it upside down seems to help.
